We believe that your thoughts belong to you. Our architecture is designed to protect that ownership.
Reflect is built on a simple premise: Private means private. We do not track your location, we do not read your contacts, and we do not sell your data to advertisers. Your journal entries are stored locally on your device by default, ensuring that you retain full custody of your digital memories.
Local Storage: All chat history, generated insights, and profile data are stored in your browser's IndexedDB. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly initiate a cloud sync or backup operation.
Cloud Backup (Optional): You can choose to backup your data to your personal Google Drive. This process is manual and places a snapshot of your data directly into your own cloud storage. We do not operate a sync server, and your data never passes through our proprietary infrastructure.
To provide intelligent reflections and summaries, snippets of your journal entries are processed
by our AI
partners (e.g., Google DeepMind).
We have a strict data processing agreement that prevents your data from being used to train
public AI
models. Data sent for processing is ephemeral and is discarded after the response is
generated.
We use privacy-preserving analytics to understand general usage patterns (e.g., "how many users transmute daily"). This data is aggregated and anonymized. We cannot trace specific actions back to individual users.
